MINING HISTORY MUSEUM

The Copperbelt Museum is themed as the Mining History Museum to document and preserve Zambia’s mining history. The Copperbelt Museum was established in 1962. It is the smallest of the four national Museums and houses collections from Archaeology, Geology, Natural History and Ethnography with the largest collection being in Geology.
The Museum currently has 3 exhibition galleries being Geology, Ethnography and Children’s Toys. The museum has also been active in mounting temporary exhibitions. The museum also has a very active Education department that develops packages for the museum visitors to give them a memorable experience when they visit the museum.
